Our Story
Hi, my name is Joonas, and I’m the founder of Grill Smoke Love.
I was born and raised in Finland and as soon as I learned to walk I started assisting my dad and uncles with grilling and smoking. This happened mostly at our summer house, a wooden cabin in the middle of a forest in Eastern Finland.
I always loved helping my dad and uncles with grilling and smoking beef, chicken, and pork chops, as well as fish that we caught from the lake next to our cabin.
I also lived in California for a while, and that’s when I got to know the American barbecue culture.
Now I have over 30 years of experience with cooking barbecue food!
One day I decided to start this website to share my experience and to create a reliable source for all things related to BBQ.
Today, we have hundreds of daily visitors who rely on our guides to find the best products and recipes.

Thinking about the environment, it’s also better to buy products that last long. Buying a new cheap grill every other year is not very sustainable.
